We offer a complimentary first minor repair on all Afar garments within 12 months of purchase.
This includes:
Loose or popped seams
Button or clasp replacement
Unravelling hems
Strap or loop reattachment
If your piece needs a little help to keep going, we’re here to assist.
What We Can't Repair
While we wish we could mend everything, but some things fall outside the scope of our complimentary service.
These include:
Fabric tears caused by accident or wear beyond reasonable use.
Colour fading from sun exposure or incorrect washing.
General ageing of natural fibres
Alterations for size or fit preferences
That said, we're always happy to offer advice. If you're unsure whether something can be fixed, reach out and we'll do our best to support you.
How to Care for Your Afar Pieces
Repair begins with care. Each garment comes with specific care instructions, but as a general guide:
Linen: Wash cold, dry flat or on a line out of direct sun. Iron inside-out if needed.
Silk: Hand wash in cool water with a pH-neutral detergent or dry clean. Avoid heat.
Organic Cotton/Hemp: Gentle cold wash, line dry, avoid over-wringing.We recommend using a garment bag when machine washing and storing your garments folded rather than hung to help maintain their shape.
Treat your clothing gently, and it will reward you with years of wear.
